    GL build

Bought this GL from best friend who bought it new and put just under 30k on it. runs great, however the last few years were spent under bike cover, not in a garage so there is some oxidization and need for refurbishing. $400, 30 year old bikes that run are hard to pass on. 1st pic is my "before" pic and the second one is getting it ready to install the new/old 18" rear wheel from a '78 model. Found GL650 forks, wheel with dual discs and calipers for a great price and will be swapping those out also. Setting a timeline of around a year to get this project done. I'm a huge fan of twins and this is a sweet little machine with a cool exhaust note. Will be selling topbox, seats, blinkers, mufflers, etc. soon at very good price to members of the forum. I'm not a collector of parts so I will want them gone.

$50 plus you pay at least 1/2 of shipping??? or make me an offer. it will have a key for the lock if you want. there are 2 strips of peel and stick tread on the cover. i can take a pic and send it to you if you want. do you have the chrome side bars with helmet locks to mount the box? i can sell you those if you need them.

I hope it doesn't take a year, but I need to spread out the purchase of some upgrades over time. I have other interests that I need to keep alive and it also helps to keep projects like this one fresh. Here is a couple pics of a '81 Honda CB750F Supersport that I built over a 2 year period.

Barn find (looks better than it really was)

    Done!
