    CX500C Cafe racer build [dutch]

    Hello everyone.

    I'm Joram,21 years old and I live in Holland.

    Started with mopeds, mostly Derbi Senda's and this was my last build this summer:

    88cc big bore kit, 23HP and top speed of 140km/h. Was fun but very risky with the police so sold it and went to the legal motor

    Haven't got my licence, but am getting it next year.

    **************************

    I saw this CX500C and it was very promising, low mileage and cheap.

    Drove perfectly and took it home

    Plans:

    * Powdercoating frame gloss black
    * checking engine and repainting
    * clip-ons
    * painting front fork
    * stainless steel exhaust with alloy mufflers
    * Mikuni 34 kit
    * Deluxe tank
    * custom seat
    * using original tank as back
    * removing fan and e-fan
    * much more

    My inspiration is the one from Noah:

    Well, lets start stripping:

    Removing engine:

    Let's get started with the engine:

    Por-15 alu paint

    Stainless steel bolts

    Brushing all the tiny parts

    Removing rear cover

    In good shape

    Little bit damage, but the chain and rest were good and adjusted.

    Cleaning and sanding

    Part 2:tongue5:

    Now the fun part, painting

    After 2 layers brushing

    Also got the rear cover back from someone who replaced the mech seal and other seals.

    Already had full seal set but the included some extra, originally Honda

    Freshness

    Just painted the rear cover, tomorrow my black VHT paint arrives for all the small parts and cilinderheads.

    It is looking awesome man! I wish I'd started when I was your age - you have a good ten years on me!

    I am looking forward to watching your build come to life.

    Thanks everybody

    I didn't had much time this week because of work but managed to do some progress.

    Painted the cilinderheads and pulsar cover:

    Then baked them in my mothers oven

    Mounting the Pulsar cover, and the stainless steel bolts:

    Also adjusted the cam chain and valves. Exhaust valves had no gap and the rockers coudn't be moved while the inlet valves had some space, so it was really needed!

    Used a clockwindtool as a replacement of the official Honda tool, worked just fine

    Now time to place the cilinderhead:

    I love it:love_heart:

    Also recieved some iridium plugs and my order with oil filter and original nuts and parts.
