Did the PO put that on backwards and squash the wires between the windings?!

When you fit the new stator do the stator tests and record the figures. They likely won't be the same as the OEM figures and you'll need a baseline for testing it if you have problems further down the track. While you're at it post them here and I'll add the figures for that stator to the wiki.
I will definitely post those numbers for you! The new stator will be here on Monday which is my off day so I should be able to install it and I will get those numbers for you asap.

    ***UPDATE***

Picked up some reverse comstars from Keith from Zulu today! They were a bit dusty, but I was able to get the front wheel cleaned up and put on tonight! I'm very happy with condition as well as being able to meet up with a member of this forum and the community that was willing to part with them! Thanks again Keith!

we are all given sh*t in life, but some of us learn to turn it into fertilizer and grow from it, and some us try to fling it on others like monkeys.

Looks like in the second pic that your headlight bucket is on upside down. The wire hole should be on the bottom.

Nice eye! But that is actually a second hole I drilled my self for the extra cable management at 1.5 inch diameter compared to the original one that is still on the bottom that is 1.75 inch diameter I believe! It was a pretty easy thing to do and help with wiring my led turn signals and chunky bunch of wires from the gauge.

I would recommend a fork brace if not using the front fender or a bobbed version of it.

I've got a brace across the forks right where the pinch bolts are right below the headlight if that's along the lines of what you're recommending. If not I would love to see photos or a link of what you e got in mind! I appreciate you looking out! I'm glad everyone in this forum looks out for and recommends certain mods! This is a great community!
