    BTW, have you booked your course yet? From what I've heard they fill up fast....

    Murray I sent you an email, I only took the one pic during the day but I can take more tomorrow when I get home from work if you want. just reply to the email and let me know what you want pics of if any.

    Bob I havent booked the course yet, as I am planning on doing the course laster in the summer so that I can have some time to save up for it. I am trying to sort out getting my M1 with a 90 day window that will work with the course dates Id like to take. I will update when I know a little better.

    Also an update about getting the bike safetied, I spoke to the shop up the road and even though not a specific bike shop he can do the safety for me and for a decent price. Still a ways to go before I am ready for safety and putting it on the road but its going in the right direction for sure. As the weather warms up I will be working on it more and things should move along well (hopefully).

    So here is an IMPORTANT update for anyone who wants to use Murrays carbs. I installed them and routed the cable under the spine of the frame. Murray asked for pics to follow up to ensure that everything would be optimized and he saw that I put the cable under the spine and ran it up the left side of the frame. Here is the important part so you don't have to uninstall them and re-install them like I am going to do, the throttle cable needs to run under the tank and down the spine then the two cables split above the spine of the frame and drop down to the carbs. Murray if I am mischaracterizing this please step in.

    If you do not set the cables up in this manner Murray says they can go out of sync which is not a good thing from what I understand lol. Murray has been great through this process and the install is very easy as long as you know where everything goes (I thought I would do it the way the stock cable ran when I should have asked in the first place). I will post pictures of the up to date install after I put them back on tomorrow.

    Ok so here is the cable install for Murray's Carbs. The cable needs to go on the left side oft he spine once it gets near the triple tree then feed it through and over to the throttle. But this is how the cables should run from the carbs.



    And here is my clutch cover pre install.



    Please don't mind the rookie paint work I did it with VHT and the taping took forever, not bad for a first try.

    When you put the tank on make sure the cables go intoThe tsnk tunnel so they arevnot pressed down by the tankYou can tilt the carb top inwards towards theSpine the carbs will be fine at a bit of an angleT hey have dual floats and will self compensate
    GET AN OIL FILTER ADAPTER

    Order The Quick Build Exhaust Pipes


    GET A QUICKSET VALVE TOOL


    Way to many bikes to maintain this list LOL !!

    Good to know, I don't think I will need to tilt them right now but if I run into a situation where I need some space its good that they can. They were probably the easiest item to install so far even doing it twice lol. Thanks for making everything so seamless Murray

    Just a quick update, I was bale to get out for a while today and get some work done on the bike. I finished re-wiring the tail and rear signal lights, also got a couple coats of primer on the tank along with a coat of paint and I almost have the battery box built. I am working afternoons the rest of the week so I won't have much time to work on the bike tile the weekend. Im hoping to get the throttle tube in the mail so I can hook up the throttle cable and put the throttle grip back on, also I need to get oil to fill it up, order my new clutch cable get my new headlight, etc... LOL still have a pretty good list of things to do and I am aiming for end of May to have the Bike safetied and plated. Have a great week everyone.

    There was an almost new clutch cable in that box of goodies I dropped off. Won't that work? Or are you going to the shorter cable?

    Ok so today I was out in the garage working on the bike all day and I did accomplish a fair amount from my list of things to do. I was about to finish building the battery box, paint it, install it and the battery in its permanent spot as seen in the attached picture. I was able to bolt on the rear bumper and tidy up the rear wiring. I put a coat of paint on the tank and on my headers which still need a couple more coats. The tank is going to get one more coat (4th coat) before I spray the clear coat which will be three coats. the paint I am using is all rattle can and I will post pics once it is done which hopefully will be tomorrow as I have to do all the clear coats within one hour (according to the instructions).

    Then it will technically take seven days to cure but I am going to install the tank on the bike because that is actually a much safer spot than the milk crates it is sitting on right now. I will also hopefully get the exhaust paint completed and installed.
