Just got my first beater bike. A 1979 (I believe) CX500C. A coworker of mine, who flips cars and motorcycles as side work, noticed I was on the lookout for a CX500. He ended up finding one at an insurance auction and the next day it was in my garage. Wiring has been hacked a little since it was a stolen bike and it needs a good cleaning. I was watching youtube videos and saw/heard your bike. I immediately got goosebumps. That is the absolute BEST sounding bike I have ever heard! I've owned an SV1000S and an SV650. I thought those bikes were superior in the music department, but you have proved me wrong. I was stunned when I read the exhaust cans were custom. You need to become a professional bike builder. Seriously!

Can't wait to start my first bike build. Dare I say I might start with the CBR fork. I just might end up spending a year and a half on it!

Thanks, Do it! don't settle or rush! it just might take a bit longer to complete though

I finally got to download the finished pics my friend took for EXIF. There pretty much the same ones on exif, but a couple drive by's he took. Im going to post them on here, then the builds complete...

I've been riding quite a bit, no issues. The mufflers sure have broken in a little, they have gotten a bit louder as Im sure the fiberglass packing has packed in a bit.

    WOW, simply WOW
1981 Honda GL500, abandoned bike that was stripped and "Left 4 Dead", pieced together and getting another run at the road. Ugly and rough around the edges, like the owner, but enthusiastic, fun, and surprisingly reliable. Its a Honda, so you know it's going to start when you hit the button.

Mate I came across this build via the youtube video. Excellent work start to finish and there's some great ideas there for others to learn from and put to use. Thanks for sharing.

Great job rebuilding that CX Noah. Talking about turning a "Ridiculous" bike into a marvelous one. Nice color scheme btw.

Your CX500 rebuild is being featured in the BikeBuilds.net
    directory here: noah240t 's CX500 Rebuild
We’re currently displaying only a reduced-size photo (similar to what you’d find in Google
Images). We'd like to ask for your permission to publish the original full-size image with your
    build listing.

If anyone would like to have a build of their own listed, just send me a message with a link to
the build thread and we’ll take care of the rest.

so i know this is an old build but do you have the specs on these spacer/adapters? Like a CAD drawing or anything? Thanks in advance.
