Well, got mine from Jevco (which bough out Kingsway) and pay about $500 a year. First year I had to pay almost $1000, but after the first year it drops a lot. Seems like Jevco is about the best one out there for older bikes, and Im curous what will happen when I add the GL1000 to the policy. I HOPE they realize I can only ride one at once, but not holding my breath LMAO.

That is who I checked with and they just added both bikes together and made one huge bill!....so unless I get some fundage.....I'll be riding only one bike per season! Thieving bastards!!! As you said.....I must be extra special as it seems I CAN ride two bikes at once!!!

Their reasoning is that, while you can't ride both of them at the same time, you can lend one of them to someone else who might even be a higher insurance risk.

What you can do is call them up and move the policy back & forth between the bikes depending on which one you want to use on any given day.

Well, when I go to add my GL1000 I am going to have a long talk with them, as Im not putting damage coverage on either. They can stipulate no one but me can ride it if they want, but if they dont care then I will simply drive them nuts by switching back and forth a few times each day lol.

Just got off the phone with RBC (Whitby/Oshawa)

    $484 with $2 million,PL/PD,no collision,55 years old ,riding 30 years,just eat of the GTA

She told me that if the bike is over 15 years and you want collision/fire/theft etc you have to get an appraisal.

If you are going with just liability, age of bike does not mater....multi bikes I did not ask ..

They were cheaper then Primmum(TD) and Jevco

I tried the online quote and it said I need to call them. I will wait until closer to when I need to change and try again.

    Wow,

Things must not be so bad south of the border. I live in California and get my insurance from Dairyland in Wisconsin and they broker me out to Viking in Minnesota. Liability minimal Ca. coverage is just over $100 per year for one bike.

So why is insurance so high in Canada and why do they seem to be afraid to insure older bikes ?
