This may help when desiging your cowl. there are two parts to the video, but the 2nd part just validates the 1st and it doesnt have any more value unless you just want proof about why the ratio works.

also to my american friends, read the ratio as 1:1.618

Edit: video wont play on the forum but when you hit play a lin appears in the middle to take you to the video on Youtube

For giggles I measured some of those proportions. With a tape measure, no beautiful girl with weird hair I ball park at 52 inches long, handle bars to tank indent @15, seat pad at 15, tank at 28 and the cowl at about 11... mostly I modeled it after one of the first cx's I saw about 8 years ago, which was a red one by a guy that was on an earlier form of this site, and a bit from another fella on this site from Australia. No Laverda fairing on this one... yet. Rubber side down and chase a Zen moment for as long as you can.

Size: 2.35 MBThis is where the seat/cowl will probably end up for my summer riding season. Covered up my upholstery work mistake with some Honda Civic badges. Will fiddle more with the fit of it once the reverse comstars are switched out to the 18 and 19 inch wheels... and the 330 Hagon shocks this autumn. Sure do appreciate all the wisdom that can be found on this forum. Ride safe. For me: ATGATT.

Great progress and a nice "finish". Pleasant to the eye.
