Black or chrome fender on my bike? (See pic!)

I'm about to order a fender that I will adapt to fit the USD forks on my scrambler. It's a shorty bobbed fender from eBay, and it will hug the wheel like a proper fender (the big dirt bike fender on there now will be removed). The eBay fender comes in both black and chrome, and I'm unsure which to get. The bike is all black, so I naturally thought black would look great. However, the mufflers are chrome, and I'm thinking some chrome up front might balance it out a bit. What do you guys think?

Chrome might look good on there. Do you have a picture of what the new fender will look like?

IMHO, definitely Chrome. Why? You have an awkward balance of the black and chrome now, as you point out. Front chrome would set off the lines and flow towards the rear muffler tail pieces.

I didn't like the chrome fender at all. Too much bling on an otherwise blingless bike. So I plasti-dipped it. Made some brackets and this is what it looks like:

Much better, was going to say black but that horse left the gate already.

I'm going to order the black painted fender and put pinstripes on it to match the tank, and then use the plasti-dipped fender on my EX500 street fighter project.

It's a Kawasaki W650 cafe front fender off of eBay, from China. Pretty thin steel, but it works and the chrome plating was pretty decent, actually. Brackets won't fit CX500 fork legs, though.
