Rear Wheel Width... And front end swap questions....

Can I easily use a 2.5 wide rear wheel? I know the stock width is 2.15... Can I actually go wider than 2.5 without a lot of modification?

Im using a complete 2006 Honda CBR1000RR Front Suspension which I believe uses Front: 120/70ZR-17 radial tire? I cant verify that because the forks are about 20 miles away...

While on the subject of the "fork swap" Ive read several different threads that say that the CBR1000RR front end is a "bolt on" using the stem from the CX500 and ALL BALLS Bearings? Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks in advance for your help...

    You guys are great!!

The Custom's rear wheel is 16x2.50. You're reading the spec for a Standard.

I don't think there's a compatible wheel wider than stock. You'll need to build a wheel to fit a wider rim, assuming you can find a wider 16" Comstar from a chain-drive bike.

Im planning on wire wheels so I can go as wide as I want... Just not sure how wide a wheel and tire I can fit in the rear?

Also planning on using 17" wheels all around unless someone can tell me why NOT to do it?

Using Cognito Moto's CX500 Rear Hub and Disc Brake system that uses a Ducati Rear Rotor and a Brembo Caliper.

    Thanks for the help...

you cant put much more than the 130 into the cx500 swing arm

some 140 tires fit i am told

but without modding the swing arm the tire will touch the right side of the swing arm
    GET AN OIL FILTER ADAPTER

Order The Quick Build Exhaust Pipes
