    Hello everyone,

I have not been on this forum long so I am not sure if this topic has been brought up before and apologize if it has. If so, directing me to the topic would be much appreciated. I have just purchased a 1982 GL500I that I am looking to restore more or less with some changes. As much as I love the look of the original rims on it I have always been a huge fan of the classic wire/spoke rim. However, I am having a hard time finding anything online for spoke rims that can accommodate the shaft drive differential of the CX500 model engine. Any information regarding this will be more than helpful. Thanks again!

After going through it I still have not found any information on where I might be able to purchase some. I have tried the search engine and found some information. I don't have access to a CNC machine as some of the guys do in there so I would not be able to make my own bolt on set-up. I will check the BMW bikes as they've mentioned. Hopefully I can find a wheel with the same tire measurements. Still open to any suggestions.

Contact some small machine shops or find somebody who is a retired machinist and see if you could get the spoke adapters made and the contact a wheel manufacter

to build the wheels. PM 50gary and see if he could help you. It won't be a cheap project but is doable if you have the Funds. AGB-1

Cheapest way to go would be to use the 75-77 Goldwing front end and build the rear wheel. You could buy a Goldwing parts bike for the front end and build the rear wheel.

Gary50 adapted a Goldwing rear to his GL500. It will require converting the rear brake to disc.

Didn't think Gary had a gl500. Here's the one mod he did.
