    Here's another one on C/L http://ksu.craigslist.org/mcy/2286786362.html .

It looks real nice. I just took delivery of a 650 with 1202 miles on it last night so I have to pass on this one.

    Mark,

No bike that old is cherry, even with the low miles on this one. I would give it a 9+ on a 1 to 10. Mechanically it seems very sound, but I am always nervous around something that has not been ridden much. I will start going through it next weekend changing fluids, plugs, filters and generally making sure everything is tight and secure. The last owner had replaced all the disposable items so it has new Metzlers and a battery. I am very pleased. Still wish I had bought yours and saved on the shipping.

As to the rear fender, I am pretty sure I can locate one. What is wrong with yours? I might take that in exchange if I can use that on one of my "off road" bikes. I'll get back soon.

Kansas is a long way from California- I'd enjoy your 650T as it is, and either wait for a nice one to swap yours out for (or a parts bike with which to restore yours) to turn up near you.

The bike I just bought was originally from Kansas too. An older guy had it and sold it to a someone in California. I guess with all those boring straight roads there, they don't crash 'em much. Shipping from central California was right at $600.

As to fixing or replacing, that is always an interesting debate. Bottom line what do you want? Is this the time to get a cool custom paint job, accessories, and all the stuff you have ever wanted to do, or do you want to buy a complete, nearly perfect looking stocker?

That GoldWing Ad looks like a scam to me...less than $3000 for a 2006 GL1800? I bet you have to send the money to Turkey or somewhere (Australia??) and the bike will be delivered to you!

Maybe started as a turbo then changed the ad to this one once they had the links out there. Sort of a bait and switch to populate the spam, who knows...
