Where is the HOW TO - SPEED SENSOR UPGRADE info

Can anyone point me to the recent information on how to do this upgrade and what I need. I cant seem to find it Seems like a fairly easy thing to do.

All the threads I find are older and have have links to places that do not exist, or if they do, it does not appear to be the correct place. For example, one link takes me to places such as Chopper Charles, who seems to have redid his forum specifically for his builds supposedly moving more generaltechnical information all info to this forum somewhere.

    a) The biggest issue I have is that I have some LX579 sensor which seem to be vertical mount" were as the original sensors are a "horizontal mount" when you look at the back plate perspective. now in looking through information, I see reference to a toyota ME544 sensor. I have never seen this reference, Which sensor do I want, the ME544 or the LX579?
    b) Where do I get the "horizontal mount" sensors, Please provide exact part number. LX579 seems to be a general type for a family of sensors.
    c) can the vertical ones be made to work, perhaps with a different mounting bracket? I saw a picture of one in a post titled "SPEED SENSORS". This showed one all wired up and discussed polarity. Funny thing is that it looked just like the vertical mount sensors I have. This thread did not show it mounted to the bracket, so I was left wondering what this person did.

    thanks.

Don't exactly understand what you mean by "vertical and horizontal mount". All LX579 are the same and vertical mounted in our turbo's. I use them in my bike without any problems.
See link how to mount them and link where you can buy them.

    Thanks Dutch.

Here is a pick of what I was talking about.

    NEW SENSOR:

    OLD SENSOR
The metal mounting tab was Horizontal. as can be seen in the information you provided.

SOLUTION: I did not realize you pulled out the metal insert and reused it in the new sensor. I thought that was part of the sensor itself, therefore I concluded I had the incorrect sensor.

Looks like I have the correct sensors and with the information you provided, I should be good to go.
