    Fan/thermo switch closed temperature

I am unable to find in my factory service manuals, the temperature at which the thermo-switch is suppose to turn the fan on. Does any one know? Thank you in advance.

I searched the manual cover to cover - nothing on the switch specifications. They give testing for all the other coolant related switches - but I cannot locate anything for the fan control. The mech shows its a just an open/closed design. The attached shows the temp gage test process. My cx500 turbo fan comes on about 80% of that range shown. About 220F on my bike. Hopefully this gets you started.Name: temp gage.JPG

The part number for the Thermostat Switch = 37760-MC7-003

This switch is also used on the 1983-1984 VF700F and VF750FThe maintenance manual of these bikes show :
    closing between 98-102 °C or 208-215 °F
    Golden Boomerang Wheels Rock

    CX500TC - summerfun

    VF750F

    CBX1000 - exploded in garage

Thanks again. I ordered a new one and will test them both while i have them out. I bought another turbo a few years ago, and finally started working on it. Idled it in my driveway for awhile and the fan never came on. Didn't have the gauges connected and wasn't sure what the temp was doing. Used a laser thermo-gun and aimed it close to the sensor.
