to the original question: I doubt I'll ever find out
"What is it like to own and ride a ....Turbo?"
No idea how it rides but to own one gives a good feeling.
I've only ever sat on one. It did feel to have a great riding position to spend an extended amount of time on though.

A few years ago I rode one "around the block" responding to a private sale. It was all a little shady because the seller was not the owner and knew nothing about the bike's history. Anyway the turbo gauge seemed to indicate something was happening but its performance was more sluggish than my GL500 so I passed on the deal. Maybe you have to test a turbo at highway speeds ?
