Looking for a left or right muffler complete with end cap

    Hi Guys

I'm looking for a left or right muffler which does not have to be in great condition as I'm after the end cap. I'm located in Sydney Australia and willing to pay for all cost associated with getting it here. Anyone got a spare muffler lying about?

    Regards

    Hi,
if you search US eBay for CX650 turbo or CX650T you will find at least three listings for exhaust. 2 are little more pricey, one is a little cheaper and best offer complete mufflers mufflers with and caps I do believe they are identical to the 500 turbo.
    Current Bikes: cx500t1, cx500t2, cx500t3=UK version, cx650t 1979 CBX zx750E1 (750 turbo#1), zx750E2(750turbo#2 -parts bike but planning to completely rebuild), zx750E1(750turbo#3 -high performance build, shooting for 150HP), 1973 H1-500, 1974 H1-500, 1974 H2-750, 2014 BMW K1600GTL-Exclusive, 1984 Honda Interceptor 1000:blob10:

The mufflers ain't..... the 500 mufflers have heat shields that bolt onto the side of the mufflers. The turbo emblem then screws onto the heat shield. The 650 turbo emblem is pop riveted directly onto the muffler.... no heat shield.

I have used 500 muffler assemblies on a 650 and have not noticed any adverse effects, but have not dyno tested them to see if there are any differences not otherwise detectable.

The end caps probably are the same, but on an old muffler they often don't come out very easily, so substituting one 650 muffler for a 500 one would look a little lopsided.....
