An old bike will almost always leak from the petcock. There are no new ones available, but you can search for the thread on how to rebuild it on this forum.

That's a real shame to lose the side cover. You will probably have to look deep and long to get a replacement. Not a bad looking bike though, nice it was kept out of the elements. What other history do you have on it?

Honda CX500 Turbo debuted when I was in high school. In Japan, you can get a motorcycle license at age of 16. It's been my dream motorcycle since then. After I moved to the U.S. in 90s, I finally owned my dream bike. I'm the 3rd owner. After the 1st owner passed away, the bike had been sitting in his garage many years. The 2nd owner bought it somehow. He had all Japanese Turbo bikes, and decided to sell this Honda.Name: IMG_20170423_101622.jpg

Interesting story....lucky you! Since the Turbo uses a different fueling system than any other NA CX/GL, the only petcocks that would likely work on the Turbo are those models without the vacuum ports. This means any petcock that only has intake/shut off valve/ output might work. Intake nipple size into the tank will need to be matched.

I think Pim did some of the original posts, he will chime in with the part number. Since mine weeps, I am not sure if it is the right number.

Taka, I have about 20 side covers, I will look to see if I have any decent covers and give you a message back.
