I will never know what my bigger bikes are capable of unless I check mileage on a track day, which I have yet to go do. Like the Busa, it is a treat to know you have it there if you ever want it. Around town though the little ones are more fun for sure.

you would be surprised how much fuel you might go thru

a top fuel bike will burn up to 4 gallons in the quarter mile and i can quote Larry McBride

so that is 16 GALLONS to the mile talk about more smiles per gallon

when playing my mileage can easily drop in half and more if i get really bad wrist droop

I ride most bikes the same: 5 to 10 over the limit, except some misbehavior once in a while, jack-rabbit starts but no wheelies.
Never get anywhere near redline, not exciting I know, but basically the street is not the track.

That is pretty much how I do no matter if it is a car, truck or bike. Except I might push it close to redline before shifts sometimes As you said, street is not the track and while it might not be exciting. I am happy to say in around 15 years of driving I have never had the "excitement" of getting a ticket, so I think I will stick with what I am doing. I can do without the excitement that comes with tickets and wrecks.
