Bedliner paint, it rocks. Just stand back a good foot ot two to get the desired "splatter" effect. Very forgiving, you do not have to get the surface completely smooth, no regrets for what it was, none. Cleaned up easy too, and no waxing!

That cheap gas picture was from a closed down station in Brunswick, MO - been closed a while!

    Good luck

I have seen a Jeep done with this finish and it looked real sharp. I have a Kendon trailer that is starting to look ratty. I am going to have this coating done on all the painted parts on it too. Really durable and easy to keep looking good.

I did my 1974 VW Thing (a Type 181) in a hot process bedliner. It took 31 gallons of material and they worked on it all day long (I was there the whole time). Twelve years later, it still looks great. I still haven't ruled out doing bedliner on my GL500i trike project since my Thing has looked so good for so long. As you may know, I've already done a wrinkle finish on my engine/frame on it.

Here's a link to my VW Thing pictorial for those who'd like to see it up close:

I did the engine compartment with a DIY cold process material called Durabak. It has held up every bit as good as the $5/sf commercial stuff. Just lay the stuff down with an undercoat gun or (are you ready for this!) -- a roller. Comes in 16 colors plus black. Good stuff.
