This is a sidecar mfg & setup shop that is about 20 miles from tge amish rally location. It's been interesting to watch it grow.
They (He) designs aluminum bodied sidecars and makes subframes for tge bikes and frames for tge sidecars. One if the unique aspects is tge addition of a torsion bar suspension that connects tge rear bike suspension with the sudecar wheel suspension. Going around a right hand turn sucks tge back end of tge bike diwn, allowing for a faster speed through the turn.
He's attended 2 of the rallies and has stafed his own sidecar rally. We usually visit his shop every other year or with new attendees.
They knew Gene from tgese visits and were saddened by his passing.
