Hi everyone, this is my build and I would like to clarify a few things. This bike is being built ultimately for the Bonneville salt flats, this is version 1.0 and has only been tested and tuned on a short street by my shop. The fuel and air induction system is absolutely capable of 200hp, and yes it would blow up instantly, we are going to develop this engine over the next few years and see what it can do. The ignition is stock this year and will be fully computer controlled next year. The trans and primary have been swapped from a 650, the rear hub is laced to a 23 inch rim. The maximum possible mph is 149 with this combination. We are running the bike this weekend at the Ohio Mile for testing on gasoline, and may dabble with methanol at the end of the weekend. Thanks for all the interest in the build, don't get hung up on the 200hp number, it's just a theoretical limit to what this engine could make, and to the guy who mentioned the Darwin awards, go fornicate yourself.

    ROFLMAO.....

There is no way that rear wheel will withstand 200 hp. If it holds together for more than 1 revolution, it too narrow to put the power onto the ground.

Gots to do more than just the engine. The whole shebang needs to handle the power.

Probably more pre-university engineering class at work.

I do admit.....it looks cool. But not sustainable.

ok it make a little more sense

once you cross over 140 hp please put a steel shield between you and the right side of the rear cover the aluminum cover does not slow stuff down

you may also want to put a piece of tubing over the spring damper on the out put shaft and tack it to the back of the coupler to stop

crap from flying around in the motor

if yoy want contact me i might be bale to help you with a hall effect ignition system (tune able) with some trigger points

so you can run total loss and loose most of the flywheel

Thank you to those with positive or helpful comments, even though I just registered today I have been using this forum as a resource for years. My partner in the project Sean has been on here and reached out to a few of you, including Jim L. And yes I know parts are going to break, that's expected in racing. MurrayF, do you have pictures or info about your driveshaft failure? Have you found a solution yet?

Lucas, Interesting project, and you clearly understand it is a complicated and lengthy process to push the boundaries. Many of us will follow your experimentation with interest, whatever the outcome, with some envy perhaps as I don't have a large enough imagination to try this. You will likely increase the knowledge base as you proceed. I sense you are building a bit of credit with our gurus already. Folks with crazy ideas and not much else are a dime a dozen. You are separating from that pack . . .
