    Introduction

    Hi everyone.

I am new to the forum, but not so new to bikes.

I looked everywhere for the welcome / Introduction topic, so that I can introduce myself..but couldn't find such a Topic..lol...so I am greeting you now here at General Dicussions..

I just bought my 1st 1980 CX 500 (Although reg paper says date of 1st Reg is 82)..

I have a Honda '81 CB750 K also, which got me a lot more used to how Honda do things. Love the bike, and its in very good condition.

I bought the CX 500 for a project, and its not in the best condition, but mechanically sound...I believe. While I can replace this or that part...and do a proper service myself...I am by no means an oiled mechanic...lol

Anyways, I was happy to stumble upon this forum, and there seems to be a wealth of info here, and very helpful advice too, so I am sure I will enjoy it here.

When the time is right, I will do my best to post some pics of my latest toy...at the appropriate topic..

    Welcome!

Hope you enjoy the ride. Take a moment to fill out your profile (see Forum settings link below) and also see the other links below for great information. A free download of the FSM is in the WIKI. This is a depository of tons of great tips, pictorial topics, wiring diagrams, etc. MotoFaction.org is also very helpful.

CX500C - Building this for my father, doesn't have a name yet still waiting for something to come to me

Thanx everyone!! I will also check out those links and settings thx.

Yea...the plan is to do a Brat style meets Street Tracker type of look...lol.

Flat seat with no hump at the back...and not the low Café handles either. The bike must still be very comfortable to ride.

Hoping to do mostly cosmetic changes...with the odd repair here and there im sure.

Still making up my mind on time line and approach...
