    Fresh blood & build

Hey guys, First post. Bought a 79 CX500. Started my tear down yesterday.
Have already talker with the reputable Mr.Murray and am busy working away making sure my ride is worthy of his parts.

Soo heres whats goong on so far. Carbs are shot with broken and missing peices. Bike ran but poopy. Thats where Murray comes in. Also found the weep hole covered and hopefully not stuffed full of silicone that some guy was nice enough to leave behind thinking that would solve the problem :/

Tomorry I will gingerly work with a drill bit by hand and remove as much of the silicone as possible and hope that i feel the bit pop through into the cavity of the water pump.

No pictures of the strip down yet but plans for mikuni's and up swept exaust, mono shock eventually also as many go fast tricks and goodies I can possibly add. Just Cause.

    Bike has 19k on her..

Welcome! Sounds like you are off to a good start. Fingers crossed that the weep hole isn't stuffed full!

    No water in your oil?

Heading out right meow to start ripping. Oil is water/coolant free. With any luck I will be able to poke through with minimal effort.
Going to try and do the Stator test, Brass rod mod and start modifying exhaust.

Will be sure to take some pics

Looks like an ignitech is in my future? Found some lovely chunks but appears the previous owner was as ambitious as he was smart. Looks like he just squeezed 1/4 of a tube into a dark cavity and hoped for the best!

Going to remove exhaust now. Imnassuming the upsweeps bolt on where the H box is removed? Any modifications required?

200hms. Double/ triple checked everything before entering. All contacts were cleaned to ensure proper connection.

    'Eager" 1979 CX500C Maroon.
Name is derived from the sound of this engine at highway speeds.
    Like its eager to go.
had a Horse that was "Eager"
    But didn't sound the same.
    So I called him "Duke"

Adapter pipe sections to replace H-box (murray has them in both styles).
