you guys really need to watch the exercise stuff you have no idea how far back down the evolutionary path is pulling you

do you know there are people that swim for exercise???? do you think they ever give pause and think

"you know it all started when we crawled out of the water and here i am again"

my ancestors use to have to run all the time from dinosaurs wild animals other people rampaging mastodons tax collectors fires plagues ect

you think i am going to go back to that and call it exercise? My dna recoils at it

beware its insidious all form of exercise probably trace back to something we have evolved from

some of you are trying to undo it

    BUT

the enlightened (NO FLUFFY CRACKS HERE) of us in the fitness protection plan are ever diligent and uncompromising we move forward comfortably powered and

    enabled as empowered beings

I considered the doing same when a young French girl, carrying groceries on a 3 speed, passed me going uphill during the 1991 Paris-Brest-Paris Randonee. In my defense, I already had 70 hours and 1000km under my butt by that time.

This is such an interresting and entertaining discussion. And a relevation. I also thought that after fire and the wheel were 'invented', humans would stop evolving the stuff after successfully puting a internal combustion engine in a subframe with protruding rims and tyres . But no, someone then got envious of the feathered flying creatures from the sky, and see - we are now having this urge to fly to Mars !

We real bike fanatics are compelled, when it has two wheels, we ride it !

In this forum all walks ( pun intended ) of life are so evenly represented by the threaders . There are the nostalgics , the endurerars looking for the next long distance challence, and even under the radar polliticians ( Murray Feldman, for president !)

I do wonder how many horsemen and cowboys are around on this forum , also riding animals ?

Sometimes , in the hustle and bustle of this modern robotty IT life, it is nice to call 'halt!" and to take a long, slow, selfpropelled trip down a rooty lane, to try to feel humanly alive again
