    1981 CX500 custom - almost new : ) with 1837 original miles

If anyone is interested in this very very nice and all original custom - jump on it as I will be putting it up for sale locally tomorrow. It's all original and garage kept. I know the story on this bike and the short version is that it was purchased by men who's wives would not let them ride it - previously owned by two brothers then sold to a neighbor across the street.

I cleaned and repaired the carbs, adjusted the valves as I'm sure it never had it's first full service, but has had it's oil and coolant changed through the years. The valve cover gaskets are like brand new which amazed me, the forks hold air, no leaks anywhere, and super clean. It has the original tires with full tread - and yes I know they are 36 years old and all that goes with that. (I'm not going to change them just in case it's bought by someone who just wants an all original show bike.)

Everything works and it's as close to "Show Room New" as I've ever seen a CX500 custom. (Last year one of my friends Ran across a CX500 Standard with 64 original miles.....and bought it ....yes crazy... I know)

With new tires it would be a great rider. If interested PM me with your phone number- Price here on the forum is $ 2500.00

I had a garage kept pickup once, sold it because I got tired of working on it in the garage all the time. It is a nice looking motorcycle.

Woe is me!! What a beauty, Doc. So nice to see these gems still popping up. This CX legacy will easily carry another 30 years at this rate.

I thought they all came with Dunlops?
Museum piece or not, I would pay their price and ride it.
Would not change a thing on it except new tires of course.

Here is a shot from the Honda Sales flyer that I have. This one came with the Bridgestone tires there is another shot in the same flyer with BlackWall tires but because the bike is moving the brand is not readable.

What a beautiful, seemingly unmolested, specimen. So pretty to the eye.
