Found the connector, disconnected it and as expected the oil light went off.
    Life is good again.

So my Oil Pressure light just suddenly stopped working...

I did some work on the bike. I replaced the Cam Shaft Cover oil seal, gasket and O-ring. During this time I cleaned a lot on the front engine cover, and then of course around the oil pressure sensor.
From there, after everything was put together again, I did a full service on the bike.
After I changed the oil (I used 20W50, which the Honda experts told me is best for SA temps), I start the bike for couple minutes. Checked the oil level. Fill up little more, start again etc, until the oil level was 100% correct, with Dip stick not screwed in of course, and also on a very flat surface and bike on centre stand. This was finalised on Tuesday.

Now during all this, the Oil Pressure light worked 100% fine as it should.

Last night (2 days later), when I collected the bike from my friend's place, the oil light was just dead, and would not come on at any point.

I checked and the wire from the sensor all the way upwards is not pinched or damaged..

I realise that it could be just the bulb, which would still be strange....or perhaps some fitting in the plastic connectors...

Any advise or possible issues or solutions please?

Is there voltage at the switch with the ignition on? Visual inspection of wires usually isn't enough.

under the tank dis connect the blue with red trace wire

    ground the harness side

if the light comes on then

the oil sender is bad or or plugged with something (did you use silicone?)

or the wire was not held down and routed properly and the fan has cut it in half

so it is not making the circuit

    Ok thanx everyone..

No, the wire leading from the sensor up towards the thermostat is def not damage in any way, nor in the way of the fan.

I used basic Clean Green and heavy duty cleaner, to clean the front engine cover, and then of course around the sensor as well.. But I never sprayed the sensor directly...just cleaned around it where it fits to the engine cover.

The rubber cover of the sensor is in deed a little damaged...but not very bad...and it was like that anyway.

So I will start by checking the connections in the plastic casing under the tank..and try that ground trick..lol....then the globe...and if need be move the rubber casing of the sensor end check those wires..and then (hopefully not needed..) remove the sensor for the test with the Multimeter...

Appreciate all the prompt feedback thanx.
