    Electrical/Tail-Brake Light Question

Hello. I'm trying to hook up all new lights and turn signals. After taking off the front fairing, I have a birds nest so I decided to start at the back. I mounted the new brake light and tail lights and I believe I have them connect correctly.

However, my problem is the brake light is always on (as opposed to the tail light setting) and when I try the turn signals they do not blink (they just burn solid).

I checked all fuses. Electrical is not my strong point. Do you think a bad relay would cause this? Or do I need the headlight and front turn signal installed for everything to work correctly? Or something else?

[edit] These are NOT LED lights.

    Thanks for the help!

    On the tail/brake light:
Tail Light Black -> Harness Green
Tail Light White -> Harness Green/Yellow
Tail Light Red -> Harness Brown

    On the Right Turn Signal:
Tail Light Black -> Harness Green
Tail Light Black/White -> Harness Blue

    On the Left Turn Signal:
Tail Light Black -> Harness Green
Tail Light Black/White -> Harness Orange

It appears I lied to you. I just looked up my tail light and it appears to be LED:

Well, guessing from other threads I've read, it appears my problem is related to the fact that my new brakelight is LED. Guess I'll have to go read those other threads closer. I assume this is also causing the turn signals to not blink.

    You need an LED Flasher

Edit: also try swapping the brown and yellow green on the tail light

Keep in mind. The taillight/brake light circuit is independant of the turn signal circuit.

Handle 1 circuit at a time. Make use of the wiring diagram.

Thanks for the responses! I assume the LED flashers are for the brake light since it's LED. Will that also fix the issue with the non-LED turn signals?

There should not be a flasher in the brake light circuit.

Also, since there are no signal lights attached at the front, they will not flash since the circuit is not complete.
This has no bearing on the tail/stop light.
