I would still disconnect the killswitch as a start to diagnostics to rule it out. I know you have now cleaned the switch but the fault could be in thje flex zone of the loom or even the ignition switch. Rule this leg out 100% first as it is a common fault.

Speaking of common faults, you are losing 2 cylinders simultaneously so we're likely looking for a component common to the 2 cylinders.

So ... kill and ignitech are common. Ignitechs are not bullet proof and it is possibly the problem.

Wolfgangs suggestion has merit, but these are 2 seperate components for each cylinder and unlikely to both take a dump at the same time but a thermal fault here is certainly possible so best also ruled out with the resistance checks.

Ignition coils can overheat ... but once again 2 seperate components.

The ignitech generates the spark internally from its 12 volt power source. This may be overheating and shutting down. Another iggy to test would be good if you have another iggy equipped member near you.

I noticed some of the cabling is very old and the connectors look old.. Dark color. Not shiny. Could be an issue.

You said you checked the kill switch, does that mean you disconnected the black wire with the white stripe from the ingnitech?

Wolfgangs photo is a hoot, but please don't try this without his personal hands-on help and a full on explosion suit.

I disconnected and measured continuity when switching. But didn't try running it without it connected

leave it disconnected until you rule out everything else. If it keeps running after ten min with it disconnected you know if the kill switch is the culprit.

I'm an electronics tech by trade or my previous jobs were. So I've got a few diagnostic tools. Anyway latest is, I contacted the supplier of the ignitec. They said that they have had a few faulty units doing a similar thing from this batch. So I've shipped it back for testing.

Why couldn't you take out the plugs, hook the meter up on the bike and let starter turn it over?
