I was thinking about Vintage Honda Motorcycle / ATV Fuel Valve Petcock - 18mm x 1.0mm | eBay for a replacement, I think it would work as it is 18mm, and it isn't vacuum operated.

What is the best way to plug the vacuum line that is no longer required, Murray?

I just used a small piece of fuel line with a machine screw in it to plug the port, seems to be working fine.

Flow probs can sometimes be fixed by dumping gas, removing petcock, cleaning tank screen and screen in bulb on petcock. Removal of brass screen in petcock requires care to avoid breaking sealing ring but if broken can be replaced. Spray carb cleaner thru passages of petcock when cleaning screens. I also did a mod on petcock by removing screws on vacuum cover and moving spring to inside of diaphram, disabling vacuum entirely. Then fuel must be shut off when bike not in use. And turned on to fill carbs and run bike, of course.

What type of fuel line goes with replacement petcocks? I got one and it is 1/4 od while inlet on carbs is 5/16 I think. Tried small line and didnt fit carbs. Use larger and a clamp on petcock?

Was just thinkin about fuel line, what about using two short pieces of different diameter line and a stepped plastic joiner in middle? I've seen kits of the plastic things at auto stores. I like the snug fitting transparent lines that slide off and on and don't require clamps to seal as they are easier to deal with and you can see the fuel running thru them.
