    probably a dumb carb question

Is it possible to effectively ultra sonic clean a set w/o splitting the carbs? The one ACV may me tough to get to, but may be doable?

I've done it a couple of times with 650 carbs because I don't have a 650 here to resynch on.

You gotta be careful with the carb cleaner though with the O rings on the transfer tubes.

I hear tell that adding Sea Foam to the petrol tank helps keep the innards clean. Don't know if it will clean an already gummed up carb. But hey, it's an inexpensive way to try.

    YOU don't need a 650 to sync.

One ball in each carb, open the butterflys, both balls (Kugeln) must fall through the opening at the same time.

I've got a few methods of bench synching Wolfgang and it is quite possible to get the butterflies exact.

But ... the motors have their own variations of compression etc so unless I can check I tend to leave that alone.

even 500 carbs synched on my own bike may not be spot on on someone elses machine but as I test run these on my own bike I synch them to my own bike.

Aint gonna work on this set.... I pulled the main jet and idle jet from the left side. Both were completely blocked with varnish. Into the soak they will go.
