    Time available for Amish 2017

Probably should start a new thread for this, but here goes. Today I received an update from the camp manager about times available next August, and now we can have anything in the period 9 August (Wednesday) through 21 August (Monday). There are two weekends in that interval. If there's enough interest to support that long a stay, I'll reserve the whole period. But a reminder, THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'M VOLUNTEERING TO HOST IT AGAIN!!

It would be good to see some indication of interest in having two successive weekends for HTTA. Your turn!

Two weekends sounds good to me, but I probably won't stay the whole time.

I'm pretty sure that next year I will drive. I was just diagnosed with degenerative disk disease aggravated by osteoarthritis in my lower back. My riding days will be more restricted.

It's in my calendar now so unless something unforeseen comes up I plan to attend sometime during those two weeks.

we are all given sh*t in life, but some of us learn to turn it into fertilizer and grow from it, and some us try to fling it on others like monkeys.

When you manage to survive as long as we have there is going to be degenerative spine stuff going on, and usually osteoarthritis is present as well. Staying away from nightshades will help with the osteoarthritis. For the spine check out "Foundation" by Eric Goodman. By toning the back muscles the spine is supported properly, allowing it to heal and alleviating pain.

I feel your pain! I have had two back surgeries, with fusions, because disk's degenerated. I also have an implanted spinal cord simulator for pain blockage . . . sometimes it works good and sometimes not.

I live with some level of pain 24/7. Back surgeries suck, and do not always eliminate the pain.

    Jerry,
I'm sorry to here of your problems. Maybe you should do like several others and trailer your bike to the Amish. Then you can save your back for riding while you are at the rally.
