looking for a 1980 cx 500 deluxe fuel tank also what other year models will work

The one listed above is a Custom tank, not a Deluxe. It will probably fit with your bike though, and will be much cheaper than any decent Deluxe tank you are likely to find.

oh...my bad. I just cruised right over "deluxe." I would suggest trying salvage yards onine.
