My front brake caliper developed a leak over the last couple of months. It started leaking after I had done a fresh brake fluid exchange. I tore it down, cleaned everything out, double checked the rubber in and out of the assembly and found that none of them are torn or degraded. The rubber was replaced when I pulled it out of storage two years ago.
Could this be due to the piston? There is a lot of pitting on the exterior of it, but looks pretty good on the portion that goes inside the caliper. Unless I am completely missing something.
Any ideas?

Clean the caliper thoroughly and then go for a ride. When you get back dust some talcum or other fine powder onto the caliper (you can pout the powder in your palm and gently blow it at the caliper) to see where the fluid is leaking from.
