anybody replace their airbox with those pod style air filters? I'd like to do it but not sure they'll fit.

That's a relatively common change, although a bit more common on the CXs. If necessary K&N makes a variety of differently shaped motorcycle filters.
After pods or exhaust changes a bit of carb tuning may be beneficial/necessary. My friend's CX runs a bit differently after adding pods, removing h-box, and installing Monster mufflers, but not so badly as to warrant attention right now.

I'm building a cafe out of my GL. I cut everything off the frame, after and under the seat. I'm now wondering if I put LED turn signals on each pod, if anyone could see them as the rear wheel may be blocking them. My bike is disassembled so I can't go look. Your thoughts? Is there a clear shot form the pod height to the rear of the bike, even a little?

UNI Pods fit great. Just get the model with an angle inlet... They look premo as well

I'm brainstorming a pod conversion also. My plan is to use the license plate bracket as the mounts for LED turn signals and the stop/tail lights. There has to be a way to show the license plate, so this seems like a good way to get them installed. I'm thinking of making a mounting bracket from under the seat to hold the license plate and lights. Most states have laws about having a license plate be illuminated at night. I figure a couple white LED's could do this. There's some really good info about cafe bikes at this website. There are some guys there who are modifying CX's already. www.dotheton.com

Sounds like you and I are working on the same project. Are you talking about putting turn signals on the filters or just in front of them?
I'm not entirely sure you'll be able to see them. I still have the rear on my bike. Not sure it's a good location for signals. Could bring them up and toward the tail more though.
